JEWS UNITED FOR JUSTICE (JUFJ) ENDORSES BRIAN SCHWALB FOR REELECTION AS ATTORNEY GENERAL
Schwalb’s proven track record of using the law to make the District safer, stronger and more affordable leads to 10th key endorsement
Washington, DC – The Jews United for Justice Campaign Fund today announced its endorsement of Brian Schwalb for a second term as Attorney General of the District of Columbia. The Fund is the sister organization to JUFJ, which works in coalition with trusted partners to advance key issue campaigns informed by their commitment to ending all forms of oppression and making real improvements in people’s lives.
The Jews United for Justice Campaign Fund is Schwalb’s tenth endorsement and their partnership is vital to pursuing comprehensive approaches to transforming community safety, racial equity, immigration justice, and consumer and worker protection.
“Brian Schwalb has been a tremendous force for justice during his first term as Attorney General,” said Yael Shafritz, DC Director of the JUFJ Campaign Fund. “He has won cases against slumlords who don’t maintain safe housing, and millions of dollars in settlements from employers who steal the wages of their employees. The JUFJ Campaign Fund is excited to endorse him as a candidate who lives out our shared Jewish values of building a District where all DC residents have a voice in how we are governed, and where all of us have dei machsoro, the resources we need to thrive.”
