BALTIMORE-D.C. METRO BUILDING TRADES COUNCIL ENDORSES BRIAN SCHWALB FOR REELECTION AS D.C. ATTORNEY GENERAL
Baltimore–D.C. Metro Building Trades Council is the Eighth Labor Endorsement Brian Schwalb has Received for his Reelection Campaign
Washington, DC – The Baltimore–D.C. Metro Building Trades Council has endorsed Brian Schwalb in his reelection bid for Attorney General of the District of Columbia. The Council is the local affiliate of North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) and supports 22 construction unions across the greater Baltimore/Washington, DC/Northern Virginia region, representing thousands of skilled craft professionals in the building and construction industry.
The Building Trades Council joins a growing list of labor organizations supporting Schwalb’s reelection based on his tireless commitment to enforcing laws that protect District workers.
Greg Akerman, President of the Baltimore–D.C. Metro Building Trades Council, stated, “Brian Schwalb has been a force in upholding the rule of law. We have been impressed by his tenacity in protecting workers’ earned pay and holding violators accountable. He is a trusted leader who will continue the fight against wage theft, a widespread problem that hurts workers, families, and communities. We support Brian Schwalb’s reelection campaign for DC Attorney General and look forward to working alongside him in his next term.”
